英下院通过“三亲育子”法案

2月3日，英国议会下院投票通过了历史性的“三亲育子”法案，以减少某些严重遗传疾病的患病风险。

The technique of creating a baby from three persons uses a modified version of IVF to combine the DNA of the two parents with the healthy mitochondria of a donor woman.

所谓“三亲育子”技术，是利用改良的人工受孕手段，将来自父母的基因与一位女性捐献者的健康线粒体结合在一起。

The UK is set to become the first country to introduce laws to allow the creation of babies from three people. Estimates suggest 150 three-person babies could be born each year.

据悉，英国将成为首个在法律上允许拥有三名父母的婴儿出生的国家。据估计，每年将有150名“三亲婴儿”出生。

A further vote is required in the House of Lords. If everything goes ahead then the first such baby could be born next year.
